The CRISPR Cascade™ operates at unprecedented speed and processing power, enabling near instantaneous results with best-in-class accuracy. This is achieved by utilizing two ribonucleoproteins (RNPs), the first (RNP1) to identify the target sequence of interest while initiating the detection signal, while the second (RNP2) to specifically amplify the signal.
Once the RNP2 blocked target is cleaved, the freed target and RNP2 Cas enzyme bind to generate a RNP2 complex. Similar to RNP1 complex function, activated RNP2 complex will start cleavage activity of both eporter molecules and additional blocked RNP2 targets. This generates a specific signal amplification of the original RNP1 activity.
